EmployAble was created as a platform to record, recognise and celebrate learning achievements. It needed a distinctive identity that communicated progress, achievement and lasting value through a simple, memorable logo.
Rather than beginning with colours or shapes, Signal started with the meaning behind the platform. Achievement was represented by an upward arrow, while the idea of memory and recognising lifelong learning led to the elephant, famous for never forgetting.
The final logo combines these two ideas into a single, distinctive mark, hiding an elephant’s tusk within the upward arrow. The result is a simple logo with a deeper story that rewards closer inspection and becomes a natural conversation starter once the hidden detail is discovered.
The identity demonstrates Signal’s belief that the strongest brands are built on ideas, not decoration. By combining symbolism with simplicity, the logo creates a memorable visual identity that supports the platform’s purpose while remaining clear and recognisable across digital and print applications.
